Week 7: The Preparation for Competition Continues 3.0
Finally, the time came to brainstorm the design of the pavilion.
Our group agreed on having individual brainstorming sessions, then combining our ideas, as to not overshadow anyone's contribution. This worked out well, as we had each formed our own visualization of what could be done with the pavilion, albeit coming to a conclusion that the ideal site to settle on would be REXKL, with a modular structure relying on kerfing.
Design development and proposals 1 & 2:
While the first proposal heavily relied on the aesthetic function of kerfing when used to make parametric designs, we believe that the second proposal (which was eventually chosen for the competition) was more mature and developed in terms of applying our case studies' key features, as well as providing the most value for the surrounding site context.
