Terengganu Trip- Day 3.2: Boat Making and Rumah Warisan Haji SU
A short, yet amusing entry and experience.
Just before heading off to our last destination of the trip, we stopped by a hidden spot, underneath some flyover.
Two huge ships were being built by just a few men. The sight was a wonder to behold, as I (personally) have never witnessed a ship of this size in real life, let alone one that was being built. The sight of the two boats on land, under a flyover nevertheless, gave the atmosphere a lot more contrast than it would have had seeing the ships in water.
The boats were described to have innovation in the way the boats are built, with attention to details down to the layers placed between the timber planks to act as natural barriers against water.
After a few brave classmates along with Dr Zaky ventured to the top of the ships, we said our goodbyes and continued on our journey.
Another short stop we had was at Rumah Warisan Haji SU.
This destination was mostly enjoyed by walking around and admiring the traditional Malay house features that were maintained, and with the random congkak set we found lying around, which we could not resist using to the most fun of our abilities in the short window of time.
